Well I did it! I finally got a facebook page for my goods, don’t know why I didn’t do it sooner.

I will be able to announce give-aways and incorporate you all in my blog a little more while being able to show you fun new designs everyweek(hopefully)!

I’m excited!

Along with the BIG BIRD (teehee) not really going to call it that! I am also going for a love theme necklace!

Actually there will be 2 originals this year, “The Dozen”. Not your typical dozen roses the cool thing about this dozen is that you don’t  have to pour out that gross water at the end of the week!  This pendadnt can be made in silver, gold and copper. and any coor pearl you can dream of! Here is a sample of one I made for me…um cough cough I mean a friend!

The next is something I am still playing with! I have never been much on heart jewelry , don’t throw things at me!!! It is just a personal preference I don’t know what it is…it just has to be done right and I think that the box jewelry stores abuse the privilege of being able to make things in bulk! I men the every Kiss begins with…you get the point I don’t need to get on that soap box! So after all that I can say that I am working on an artisan heart! Here are few snaps of what I have so far! FINALLY! The thought that maybe there is a need for a little heat with all this frigid weather we have been having! “Fire” is on the way! I bet you want to know what that is…Here is a peak of just about everything I have going on…I will exclude the laundry piles, moving boxes and baby shower paraphernalia!

So once again stepping up to the plate with a great design!  I went back to my little etsy shop and got new store decor’!

In my current phase of nesting, I want to decorate and organize everything…with moving and kids and pregnancy and, and, and, and some more! I don’t get around to very much instant gratification, but this is one thing that helps! SIGH!

A friend of mine requested a nest and the requirement was that it was a little bigger! Because why?  BECAUSE SHE ONLY WEARS SLIDES! YIKES!!! I was racking my brain on how to make it big enough that it would look right on a slide!

Well I started making it in her office with this fancy new wire I got(side-note…never using it again) I felt like Chevy Chase in Christmas Vacation because of the amount of wire I had tied up around me! I had it in my mind what I wanted, so a little effort later, and some midnight creative oil! WAH-LAH!

What you want a picture? I promise I will get one up this week! It turned out fabulous and made me decide that I think that these should be an options for longer style necklaces and other fun things!

Just wait I have a few surprises up my sleeve for Valentine’s Day!

I hope everyone is having a fantastic New Year! Speaking of that I should really change the signs in my shop…OOPS!

Our holiday season was filled with some amazing family time, SNOW! In Alabama, the first white Christmas since the 1800′s! Call it whatever you want, but my kids were beside themselves!

We relaxed, no traveling to and fro and it was wonderful! My hubby and I were enamored with the joy that filled our house and Thank God for the wonderful time that we all shared!  I hope you all had a blessed holiday and that you New Year is blessed beyond your imaginations!

Now…onto some jewelry!

Really I should look up what that term actually derived from, but I’ll borrow it for now!

The Christmas season is in full swing and will be gone before we know it, as sad as it seems! I think I have gotten most of my shopping done, but still find small things that I need to take care of here and there…isn’t it always the small stuff that drives you batty!

This week I am completing my first wholesale order with a local store here in Homewood, Swaddle! Such a great store filled with the best baby gear around! If you get a chance check them out and if you need to see the nest they will have them there! SO EXCITING!!!

On Tuesday at 11:30 I will get a little spotlight on Daytime Alabama with Wendy Garner. The spotlight is on my Original Nest and I wil debut my Family Tree necklace.

I am so grateful and amazingly excited! The original nest has been a wonderful piece that I enjoy making as it is personal for each recipient. The original nest necklace makes for a great gift and can be made custom depending on your style needs.

I have a confession…I crave vintage things…the amazing quality of the pieces, the colors the textures the heart that was put into the delicate features…things you don’t see a lot of anymore.

With that being said I love to find pieces that need a little TLC and make something wonderful out of it. I remember playing with my grandmothers old jewelry as a kid and the pieces falling apart and the for the most part I kept every little piece that I still to this day have if I haven’t made something out of it already. My mother in law had her moms “costume” jewelry that had been sitting around for a while and it was headed to a donation box near you…but I couldn’t do it, no matter what kind of hoarder I must have looked like I ask it I could have it all…some broken, some earrings with no matches, some brooches with no pin…sigh! I felt shameful asking at the time, but since then things like that have become my biggest passion…you just don’t know where those pieces have been and if only they could talk and tell you what it was like to walk into the theater and sit next to Johnny , or the wedding that it went to, or the shoes they were pinned too…there is nothing like a little history, history reshaped!
